About

Promon is a Swedish psychedelic trance duo consisting of Robin and Micke. Their sound is characterized by dark tribal psychedelic trance in the Scandinavian pumping night style with slapping basslines and deep kicks.

Starting with Technomaker in 1995, they progressed through Fast Tracker 2 and MIDI sequencers before entering the psytrance scene. In 2001, they won a contest by Psynews.org, leading to their debut on the compilation Psychedelic Spark and eventually becoming the first signed artists on Inpsyde Media.

Their debut album Funky Fumes was released in June 2002, featuring 10 tracks of quirky, mushroom-fueled psychedelic madness steeped in Scandinavian folklore.

1995
Robin discovers Technomaker at a computer expo. The journey begins.
1995-1999
Micke brings home Fast Tracker 2 from a magazine CD. About 400 tunes are created before outgrowing tracker limitations.
1999
Transition to MIDI sequencers and synthesized sounds.
2001
Enter Psynews.org contest, earning a spot on the compilation Psychedelic Spark by Inpsyde Media. Become their first signed artist.
2002
Debut album Funky Fumes released — 10 tracks of dark tribal psytrance. Recorded in just 4-5 weeks.
Present
Promon is currently not under any record deal. Stay tuned for more music.

Once in a while something so incredibly weird comes up that it sort of makes you very very confused indeed. And so to Promon... This is classy, quirky stuff steeped in murky mushroom mulch, with some mindblowing moments in its mythical madness.
